On July 3, 2021, the Minister of Culture in Peru declared that Museo Nacional del Perú (MUNA) has been completed as a part of celebration of the 200 Years’ Anniversary of Peruvian Independence. It will be open to the public on July 24 with an inaugural ceremony. The museum received 500 million sol in total, marking the largest public investment of Peru government in the cultural heritage sector. Tangible and intangible cultural heritage in Peru will thus be protected and it will provide support to many archaeological researches and make contribution to the preservation of Peru culture. The Minister of Culture in Peru suggested that the museum has paved the way for people to understand Peru history and culture, as well as the establishment and changes of Peru culture.
