SCO Countries Art Exhibition Inaugurates in National Art Museum of China

For a Shared Dream – the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Countries Art Exhibition of the International Exchange Series was inaugurated in the National Art Museum of China on September 7, 2021. It displays 53 artworks/sets from the SCO’s 8 member states, 4 observer states and 6 dialogue partners collected by the National Art Museum of China and 89 pieces/sets are exhibited simultaneously through multimedia. Through academic planning and visual art presentation, the exhibition reflects the pursuit of good neighborliness, in-depth exchanges, and joint construction of a common people-to-people community with a shared future by SCO countries.

The exhibition is divided into 4 units. The “homeland and aspiration” unit aims to specify the current position of oneself and keep cultural confidence and self-awareness. The “journey and exchange” unit presents the cultural communication and mutual learning. The “diversity and integration” unit takes the audience to experience different civilizations while learning and internalizing cultural knowledge. The last unit “destiny and co-existence” calls for cultural communication and prays for a shared future with peace, cooperation and harmony.

The exhibition will last till September 21, 2021.
