Dagestan Art Exhibition Opens at Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve in Moscow


On August 2, 2022, the exhibition of Patty Matt's Road:Female World in Dagestan Tradition and Modern Art was previewed at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve in Moscow. It’s scheduled to last from August 3 to December 11.

Over 300 pieces of exhibits are put on display by the Russian Museum of Ethnography, the Dagestan Museum of Fine Arts named after P.S. Gamzatova and the State Historical Museum of Russia. From archeological discoveries to modern works of art, the exhibits show the rich and charming inner world of Dagestan women.

The Russian Museum of Ethnography has offered 57 pieces of exhibits, including Dagestan Kaytag silk embroidery from 18th to 19th century, Tsez headwear, knitted and silver amulets, utensils and decorations.
