On December 10, the exhibition Great Friendship: Memories of Russia-China Musical Exchanges opened at the Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan, China. The exhibition is jointly organized by the Hubei Provincial Museum and the Russian National Museum of Music.
Centered on the theme of “great friendship”, the exhibition systematically traces the history of musical exchanges between the two countries since the 17th century. Through nearly 100 precious manuscripts, musical scores, historical photographs and artifacts, it offers a panoramic view of the development of Russian and Chinese musical cultures from its early beginnings to periods of flourishing growth and deep integration, highlighting the profound foundations of mutual learning and enduring friendship between the two nations.
Following the opening ceremony, representatives from China and Russia met to discuss preparations for the 2026 Symposium of Chinese-Russian Music Museums.
