The Unbounded Heritage, Shared Glory of the Silk Road: Maritime Silk Road Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition was held at the Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Centre from December 11 to 14, 2025. The event was jointly hosted by the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Quanzhou Municipal People’s Government.
The exhibition consisted of two exhibition zones and brought together 27 intangible cultural heritage (ICH) projects from 17 countries across four continents. The international zone showcased selected projects presented onsite by ICH inheritors from countries along the Belt and Road, including Myanmar, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Kenya, etc. The Chinese zone featured ICH works by artisans from Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities along the Silk Road.
Within the framework of a community with a shared future for mankind, Chinese and international ICH representatives engaged in in-depth cultural dialogue. Through hands-on experiences of ICH craftsmanship and techniques, as well as participation in related activities, visitors were able to experience the distinctive appeal of cultural traditions from China and abroad at close range, fostering a shared appreciation of achievements in ICH safeguarding.
