An exhibition featuring historic and cultural relics was kicked off at the Qinghai Provincial Museum, together with three parallel exhibitions focusing respectively on representative intangible cultural heritage, archaeological discoveries, and revolutionary cultural relics of the past 100 years in Qinghai province.
The exhibition, themed with the idea of “Origin of Waters and Mountains, Coexistence of Diverse Cultures, and Magnificent Qinghai”, presents the stories of Qinghai history, archaeology, intangible cultural heritage and revolutionary culture. A total of 2405 pieces of cultural relics, including 191 grade-one objects and 248 pieces (sets) of valuable cultural relics, were displayed. It fully reveals the historical and cultural connotations of Qinghai as an important hub of the Silk Road, objectively recreates the transportation functions and historical presence of ancient routes in Qinghai, including the Qianzhong Road, the Tuyuhun Road, the Ancient Tangbo Road, and the Ancient Tea Horse Road. The exhibition on archaeological discoveries concentrates on the most typical historical sites from the archaeological excavations in Qinghai.
The museum also presents an interactive 5G holographic display and historical experience with 3D modelling, AR and animation technology to satisfy the need of audience who are not able to visit the museum on site.
