The Tianjin Museum opened an exhibition featuring Jin State bronzeware from the Shanxi Museum on August 26, 2023.

The exhibition features over 150 exquisite Zhou dynasty (1046–256 BCE) bronzes (sets) from the collection of the Shanxi Museum. These artifacts are various in form, elaborate in decorative design and exquisite in craftsmanship. They represent over 600 years of the Jin State’s history, as well as the distinctive features of Jin-style bronzeware and the magnificent bronze culture of ancient China. In addition, this exhibition serves as a concentrated showcase of several significant archaeological discoveries in the Shanxi region. Through these artifacts, visitors can experience the distinctive characteristics, styles and panache of Chinese archaeological findings as close as possible.

At the end of the exhibition hall, an area for interactive experiences that combines drawing and virtual reality technology is arranged. This innovative activity helps understand the relationship between bronze designs and animal motifs and creates a more engaging experience for visitors, especially catering for the younger demographic.
