
Charming Silk Road connects the world. On September 1, 2023, a launch ceremony for the International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities was held in Jingdezhen. Up to now, 58 cities at home and abroad, including China and 26 countries from Asia, Europe, Africa, America and other regions, have joined the alliance as founding members, committed to building an internationalized tourism cooperation mechanism of inclusive cooperation and mutual benefits. The Jingdezhen Declaration was signed by the representatives of diplomatic envoys and released at the event site.
From 2016 to 2018, the Silk Road International League of Theaters, Silk Road International Museum Alliance, Network of Silk Road Arts Festivals, Silk Road International Library Alliance, and Silk Road International Alliance of Art Museums and Galleries have been established successively. Under the new circumstance, the International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities set sail, to uphold the concept of inclusive cooperation and mutual benefit, leverage its unique advantages in the tourism field, and better promote communication and cultural exchanges and mutual learning.
The International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities aims to be guided by the spirit of the Silk Road and adhere to the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits. To build a long-term cooperation mechanism for exchanges and cooperation in the field of tourism between Chinese and foreign cities, the alliance will hold a series of themed activities such as international forums, joint promotions, and industry docking to promote sustainable tourism development in member cities.
The event was guided by the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, sponsored by Chinese and Foreign Cultural Exchange Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Jiangxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Jingdezhen Municipal People’s Government and organized by Jingdezhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, News, Publishing and Tourism.
