The exhibition Our Common Home: A Miracle of Nature was opened at the National Museum of China on November 16,2023. The exhibition is co-organized by the National Museum of China (NMC) and the National Natural History Museum of China. It attempts to further interpret the basic strategy of "harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature," and display vibrant scenes from the natural world where "all creatures strive for freedom under frosty skies."
This exhibition focuses on diverse animal species and consists of three interlinked thematic sections that present information on the fauna of China and contemporary accomplishments in conservation. By including the history of the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature, this exhibition invites visitors to come to a deeper appreciation of a world where all things live in harmony and benefit from the nourishment of nature. It is hoped they can thus gain a valuable perspective on the historic, transitional and overall changes in China's ecological conservation in recent years.
The exhibition also seeks to engender the conviction that clear waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets for a society, and that we must work together to open a new chapter in building a community of all life on earth, so as to create a bright future of harmonious co-existence between humanity and nature.
