9th Silk Road International Arts Festival Opened in Xi'an

The 9th Silk Road International Art Festival opened in Xi’an, China on October 15,2023. The event, under the theme of “A New Chapter of the Silk Road, Better Days of a Bright Future”,is jointly organized by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province,and attracted artists and performers from 9 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China and over 90 countries and regions around the world.
The festival presents the general public with an artistic feast. In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies, this year's Silk Road International Art Festival consists of four segments, namely artistic performances, art exhibitions, free performance tour and live streaming, featuring six themed events: Malaysian Culture Day, the Silk Road Starting Point Cultural and Tourist Experience tour, Children’s Theater Week, Intangible Cultural Heritage Fair, Young Artist Support Programs, and International Modern Art Week. Furthermore,37 outstanding performances and over 600 outstanding artworks from China and abroad are presented at the event. The activities will last until October 29.
