
Recently, MGM Macau has concluded the 2025 Chinese National Arts Fund-supported “Talent Training in Cultural and Creative Design for the Maritime Silk Road”.
The project was jointly organized by MGM Macau, the Palace Museum, and the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. Lasting for nearly 60 days, it combined cultural investigation with professional learning. It aimed to cultivate talents and promote the protection and innovation of the Maritime Silk Road culture.
30 participants traveled from Beijing through Quanzhou, Guangzhou, and Hengqin before arriving in Macau, where they engaged in over 30 courses, field visits, and exchanges. Participants visited key institutions, including The Palace Museum, the Quanzhou Maritime Museum, and the Macao Museum, to gain a deeper understanding about the Silk Road’s heritage and Macao’s s role in maritime trade.
During the program, the participants also experienced cultural exhibitions, performances, and technology-integrated art at MGM venues.
