The 7th Silk Road International Arts Festival was held successfully in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China from December 1 to December 6, 2021. The festival, including nearly 40 cultural and art performances in 6 days, was held both online and on site, with the participation of 21 countries and regions along the Silk Road. The event has introduced four sections, including the opening and closing ceremonies, art performances, art exhibitions and art forum. It has built the bridge among countries along the Silk Road with outstanding artworks and performances, revealing the diversified and harmonious beauty of different regions and promoting exchanges and mutual learning between the Chinese and foreign art and culture along the Silk Road.
As an important part of this year’s festival, the fine art exhibition section lasts from November 20 to December 30, 2021. During the period, the exhibitions to be held on site includes The Great River: Shaanxi Art Exhibition on the theme of the Yellow River, Silk Road International Artwork Exhibition, and Gorgeous Mountains and Rivers: Traditional Chinese Paintings from Shaanxi, while those to be held online are A Journey from Chang'an: Exhibition on Traditional Chinese Paintings from Shaanxi, Qin: the Past and Present of Terracotta Warriors and The Flower of the Earth: Ansai Farmer Painting Exhibition from the Shaanxi Provincial Museum of Fine Arts, A total of nearly 700 excellent artworks home and abroad gathered in Shaanxi, creating a communicating and displaying platform for artists.
