The Glory within Authenticity: Essential Cultural Relics and Digital Art Exhibition of Yongle Palace opened at the National Library of China (National Museum of Classic Books) on January 12. This is the sixth stop of the exhibition's national tour.
Yongle Palace, located in China’s Shanxi province, is the only Yuan dynasty (1206–1368) official architectural complex remaining in China. It is world-renowned for its magnificent architecture and vivid murals, but unfortunately, many historical details have gradually faded with the passage of time.
Featuring over 150 precious artifacts from Yongle Palace (including 13 sets of Class I cultural relics), the exhibition is organized into four parts: “A Grand Perspective”, “Harmony in the Ordinary”, “Cosmos on the Walls" and "Eternal Mountains and Rivers".
The exhibition utilizes AI and other cutting-edge digital technology to recreate the architecture and murals of Yongle Palace. Visitors can step into the digitally restored heritage site from 700 years ago, and immerse themselves in its architectural marvels and artistic treasures.
Jointly hosted by Art Exhibitions China and the National Library of China (National Museum of Classic Books), the exhibition is open until August 31.
